Shake some acton
Shake Some Acton was born in 2019 as the brainchild of Mannie, who saw the shortage of small, independent stages for live bands in London and decided to do something about it.
Starting out on Acton High Street, Shake Some Acton quickly gained a reputation for showcasing the best in Punk, Trash, Garage, Dirty Rock ’n’ Roll and all things alternative. Word spread fast, and before long we had a loyal crowd who liked their music raw, loud, and unapologetically live.
The Covid pandemic all but dismantled London’s grassroots gig circuit, forcing venues and promoters to adapt or vanish. But when live music roared back in 2022, so did we—louder and wilder than ever.
Today, Shake Some Acton has grown beyond a single venue. We’re now running events at some of London’s most exciting independent spots, including The Water Rats (Kings Cross), Trinity Bar (Harrow), Hope & Anchor (Islington), The Fiddler’s Elbow (Camden), The Lexington (Islington), and Signature Brew (Haggerston) – with more venues to come as we keep expanding.
Wherever you find us, the formula stays the same: a stacked roster of old favourites and new blood, a welcoming crowd that’s all dressed up and ready to go, and a night of Rock ’n’ Roll mayhem that starts the moment you walk through the door.
